Super Splatter is an advanced variation of AGO Last Card. It uses the Splatter and Erase cards found in AGO Phonics levels 4 and 5 and AGO Q&A levels 2 and above.
Begin with the normal AGO Last Card rules. The following cards add extra tactical possibilities.
Splatter card
A Splatter card makes every other player draw the total value of all Pick Up cards currently in play. For example, if a Pick Up 3 and Pick Up 2 have been played, a subsequent Splatter makes every other player draw five cards.
Splatter may be played on any card. After playing it, the player nominates the new color. If the draw pile does not contain enough cards, divide the available cards as evenly as possible among the affected players.
Erase card
An Erase card protects its player from drawing cards. It may be played on any card, including a Splatter. When played in response to a Splatter, only the player who used Erase is protected; the other players must still draw.
Optional advanced rule
Once Pick Up cards are in play, Jump, Change Direction and additional Pick Up cards may be added to the sequence. Jump and Change Direction cards must still match either the current color or rank.
Super Splatter works best with players who already understand AGO Last Card. Introduce the additional effects one at a time before combining all the advanced rules.
